Role overview

This position is for a Care Assistant in Tramore, County Waterford, working in a client’s home. The role focuses on providing personal support, following the client’s care plan, completing assigned care tasks, and helping to maintain comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing.

The starting pay is based on experience and qualifications, with an enhanced hourly rate of €15.30 to €16.35.

Responsibilities

Support clients with their day-to-day activities at home.
Carry out care duties with appropriate attention, sensitivity, and professionalism.
Deliver care to a high standard in line with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants should either hold QQI Level 5 modules in Care of the Older Person and Care Skills/Healthcare Support, or have at least one year of experience caring for others and be prepared to complete the two modules mentioned above.

Personal qualities

The ideal candidate should show genuine compassion, kindness, empathy, and patience. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive rapport with clients are also important.

Working arrangement

This opportunity offers both full-time and part-time hours, depending on availability, with flexible working hours.
