Role overview
Access Healthcare is hiring Healthcare Assistants for flexible, county-wide assignments across Kerry, Ireland. The role is suited to people who want control over when and where they work, with opportunities available for full-time hours, part-time shifts, or extra work alongside an existing schedule.
The position offers work close to home where possible, with options across different locations in the county. Shift patterns can include days, nights, weekdays, and weekends.
Compensation and benefits
Hourly pay is offered at €14.50 to €17.00, with higher rates for night shifts and Sundays. Payment is made weekly. Additional benefits include free Garda Vetting, a free uniform, and support from a dedicated consultant throughout the placement process.
Key duties
- Deliver person-centred care that supports each service user’s individual needs.
- Help with day-to-day living activities and personal care tasks.
- Support dignity, independence, and overall wellbeing.
- Work both autonomously and collaboratively with the wider healthcare team.
- Keep the environment safe and follow HIQA standards as well as organisational policies.
Candidate profile
Applicants should have a FETAC Level 5 qualification, or an equivalent award, in a healthcare-related area. A minimum of 6 weeks’ experience in an Irish healthcare setting is required, along with knowledge of HIQA standards. Current training certificates are preferred but not essential.
The ideal candidate will be caring, dependable, and positive in their approach to work.
