Role overview
Westcare Homecare Ltd is hiring Healthcare Assistants to provide in-home care across Louth, County Louth, Ireland. This role offers a chance to build a meaningful career while being supported, fairly compensated, and valued for the work you do.
The position is suitable for applicants with prior care experience as well as those transitioning from retail, hospitality, customer service, or family caregiving. Training is provided to help successful candidates develop the skills needed for a career in care.
Coverage areas include Ardee, Drogheda, Dundalk, Knockbridge, Clogherhead, Dunleer, and Castlebellingham.

Key duties
- Assist clients with everyday personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and meals
- Support clients to move safely and maintain independence
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Observe wellbeing and escalate any concerns when needed
- Help maintain a safe and comfortable home setting
What you need
- A full Irish driving licence and access to a car
- QQI Level 5, or an equivalent qualification
- A dependable, caring, and positive approach
- Previous care experience is helpful but not required
