Position Overview
The Healthcare Assistant in Rapid Response plays a crucial role in delivering prompt, hands-on support to individuals within their own residences. This role focuses on providing immediate care, ensuring essential visits are made to help clients maintain safety, comfort, and independence in their everyday lives.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience delivering homecare services in Ireland
- Completion of at least two QQI Level 5 core modules in Health & Social Care (Care Skills and Care of the Older Person)
- Actively pursuing full QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care
- Possession of a full driving license and access to a vehicle
- Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written
- Availability to work alternate weekend shifts
- Desirable qualities include excellent interpersonal skills, empathetic nature, strong organizational abilities, and effective time management
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising staff shadowing while ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols
- Managing emergency situations via rapid response duties, including processing new packages and client discharges
- Assessing and monitoring care quality provided to clients, and reporting concerns to the area manager
- Collecting and reviewing journal notes from client homes
- Delivering care plans, log sheets, gloves, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to clients as needed
- Performing other reasonable duties as assigned
