Role overview
Westcare Homecare Ltd is hiring Healthcare Assistants for community-based homecare work in Sligo, County Sligo, Ireland. This is a rewarding care role for people who want to support others in their homes, work with a friendly team, and be fairly compensated for the work they do.
People with prior care experience are welcome, but the role is also open to candidates from retail, hospitality, customer service, family caregiving, or other people-focused backgrounds. Training is provided to help you build a career in care.
Work area
Assignments may be based across Sligo town, Calry, Ballintogher, Easky, Enniscrone, Skreen, Ballisodare, Ballygawley, Colooney, Grange, Drumcliffe, Tubbercurry, Ballymote, Strandhill, and Rosses Point.

Key duties
- Assist clients with everyday personal care and routine tasks such as washing, dressing, and meal support
- Encourage mobility and help people remain as independent as possible
- Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
- Observe client wellbeing and escalate any concerns
- Contribute to a safe and comfortable home setting
What you need
- A full Irish driving licence and access to a car
- QQI Level 5, or an equivalent qualification
- A dependable, caring, and positive approach
- Previous care experience is helpful but not required
