Healthcare Assistant – New Ross & Surrounding Areas

Key Duties

• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with light household chores and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Help with safe mobility and daily routine activities.

Work Schedule

The service operates daily from 8am to 8pm, allowing flexible work hours to fit your life. Options range from 5 to 35 hours weekly, with consistent scheduling and the same clients each week to ensure reliability and predictability.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate between €14.15 and €16.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
• Mileage and travel time reimbursed at 48 cents per mile between client visits.
• Comprehensive initial and ongoing training provided.

Training Opportunities

If you're not fully qualified but have relevant caregiving experience, including caring for family members, subsidized QQI training in Care Skills and Care of the Elderly is available to support your professional development.

Requirements

• Residence in New Ross or the surrounding areas.
• Possession of a full driving licence and access to your own car.
• Completion of QQI Care Skills and Care of the Elderly qualifications, or willingness to undertake them through the company support.
