Role Overview

As a Healthcare Assistant based in Tullamore, you'll receive continuous support from experienced Clinical Nurse Managers and have access to 24/7 clinical assistance. This role involves delivering personalized care that helps clients live independently, safely, and with dignity within their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care including washing, dressing, mobility assistance, and toileting support
  • Preparing meals and undertaking light housekeeping tasks
  • Prompting and supervising medication intake
  • Offering companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assisting clients with Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and high dependency needs
  • Adhering to individual Care Plans and documenting the care delivered
  • Reporting any concerns promptly to the care management team

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completion of QQI Level 5 certifications in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare environment
  • Successful Garda Vetting and international police clearance when applicable
  • Possession of a fit-to-work certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Full driving license with access to personal transportation
  • Comfortable using Google Maps for navigation
  • Strong English communication skills
  • A compassionate, reliable, and respectful attitude
  • Full legal eligibility to work in Ireland
