Key Duties

• Offer respectful personal care that preserves residents' dignity, privacy, and comfort.
• Assist residents with daily living activities like hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and hydration.
• Monitor residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing, escalating any concerns properly.
• Foster trusting and warm relationships with residents and their families/whānau.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inviting environment promoting wellness and independence.
• Adhere to individualized care plans and collaborate closely with Registered Nurses for consistent, high-quality support.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with residents, their families, and colleagues.
• Uphold health, safety, and infection control standards to protect everyone.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in healthcare assistance, caregiving, or related roles.
• A caring, patient, and respectful attitude toward older adults.
• Strong verbal communication skills combined with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Dedication to safety, maintaining residents' dignity, and delivering person-centred care.
• Availability and adaptability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
