Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our client's dedicated care team in Cork on a temporary basis. This role focuses on supporting residents to maintain their dignity and independence through attentive care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with residents' personal care, meal times, and mobility requirements.
- Work closely with nursing professionals to observe and report changes in residents' health conditions.
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both residents and their families.
- Encourage residents to participate in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care in line with organizational policies.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Possess FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support.
- Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is advantageous.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, empathy, and a strong commitment to caregiving.
- Must have Garda Vetting clearance.
