Role overview

Swan Global is hiring a Health Support Associate in Doha, Qatar, for the health insurance and healthcare services sector. This position is focused on providing administrative and operational assistance that keeps insurance services running smoothly for members, healthcare providers, and corporate clients.

What you will do

  • Act as a key contact for policyholders, medical providers, and corporate customers on health insurance-related queries.
  • Confirm member eligibility, benefit details, and policy coverage information.
  • Support the handling of medical claims and check that all supporting documents are complete and correct.
  • Work with hospitals and clinics on approvals, referrals, and pre-authorization requests.
  • Respond to customer questions by phone, email, and web-based portals while maintaining a high service standard.
  • Keep member files, policy records, and service documents accurate and up to date.
  • Escalate difficult medical or operational matters to the relevant internal teams.
  • Track service turnaround times and help ensure SLA compliance.
  • Assist with customer service programs and case management work.
  • Follow company procedures and applicable insurance regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in health insurance, healthcare administration, medical claims, or customer service.
  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Insurance, or a related discipline.
  • Good understanding of health insurance terms, benefits, and policy coverage.
  • Hands-on exposure to claims handling, pre-authorizations, and healthcare coordination.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong ability to manage documentation and records accurately.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to stay effective under pressure and manage several tasks at once.
  • Knowledge of medical coding or claims processing is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with health insurance compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Documents needed: updated CV and QID copy.

This is a contract role based onsite in Doha, Qatar, within the health insurance / healthcare services industry.
