Role Overview

Techrete is hiring a full-time Health, Safety & Environmental Manager for its Balbriggan office in North County Dublin. This is a strong career opportunity to play a key role within the HSE team.

Location: Stephenstown Industrial Park, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, roll out, maintain, and oversee strong health, safety, and environmental management systems in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across manufacturing sites, construction projects, and local support offices.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to colleagues both inside and outside the HSE team.
  • Work closely with internal departments involved in bids, preconstruction, and quality, ensuring HSE considerations are built into their work.
  • Lead the investigation of quality and safety incidents, identify root causes, and put corrective actions in place.
  • Monitor and report on key HSE performance indicators and emerging trends.
  • Carry out audits to confirm compliance with legal obligations and internal company policies.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 5 qualification in Occupational Safety & Health.
  • Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH).
  • Associate membership of IEMA, including the IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management.
  • NEBOSH Health and Safety Certificate in both General and Construction.
  • Full valid driving licence.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Desired Experience and Attributes

  • Recent experience in a similar HSE position, with the ability to influence culture and support change through an understanding of people.
  • Previous involvement in HSE audits aligned to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Self-driven and resilient, with the ability to organise priorities and deliver tasks within set deadlines.
  • Completion of a train-the-trainer course.
