Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a QHSE Business Partner in Germany to support site operations with quality, health, safety, environment, and compliance topics. The role sits in an international setting and combines hands-on support for operational teams with a strong focus on standards, governance, and ongoing improvement.
The position involves regular travel within Germany and occasional travel across Europe.
Key responsibilities
- Advise managers and operational teams on quality, occupational safety, environmental matters, and compliance requirements.
- Help ensure adherence to legal obligations, ISO frameworks, and internal management systems.
- Carry out audits, site inspections, safety walkthroughs, and risk assessments.
- Support the development of a strong safety and quality mindset across the organization.
- Track key metrics, incidents, and corrective or improvement actions.
- Maintain and enhance management systems covering quality, health and safety, environment, IT security, and IT service management.
- Prepare reports and assist with both internal and external audit activities.
Requirements
- NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years of experience in QHSE, occupational safety, or compliance.
- Solid understanding of ISO-based management systems and audit procedures.
- Experience setting up and improving management systems.
- Prior leadership experience or experience coordinating teams in a subject-matter capacity.
- Strong communication and advisory skills.
- Good working knowledge of the relevant health and safety, environmental, and compliance regulations.
- Very good German and English skills.
- Valid Class B driving licence.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Germany and occasionally elsewhere in Europe.
Preferred qualifications
- Additional qualification in environmental management.
- Further training in fire protection or construction-related occupational safety.
- Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
- Membership in a relevant professional body such as IOSH.
- Trainer qualification, for example HABC Level 3.

Additional information
