Health Safety Environment Officer

Role overview

Abunayyan Holding is looking for a proactive HSE Officer to help roll out and continuously strengthen the organization’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) management system. This position focuses on keeping operations aligned with HSE regulations and ISO requirements, while helping build a strong safety mindset across both manufacturing and office environments.

Key responsibilities

• Create, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and program documents.
• Carry out site inspections and risk evaluations to detect hazards and confirm compliance.
• Review workplace accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases, then follow through with corrective actions.
• Conduct HSE onboarding, awareness sessions, and safety training for employees.
• Track HSE results and prepare monthly reports for management.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems.
• Assist in organizing internal and external QHSE audits.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction efforts and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support operational excellence by helping improve processes and monitor KPIs.
• Work with teams across functions to raise safety and quality performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a similar field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in an HSE Officer, Safety Officer, or QA/HSE Officer role.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is required.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is an added advantage.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or construction settings.
• Practical experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
• Prior exposure to building and maintaining ISO-based management systems.

Additional information

This position is based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia and is a full-time, onsite role.
