Job description
Role Purpose
The Health, Safety, and Environment Officer position is aimed at protecting employees, company facilities, and the environment by effectively managing occupational health protocols, process safety procedures, fire prevention measures, chemical handling processes, and environmental compliance specific to Mega Beverages' operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and environmental regulations are strictly observed within the manufacturing setting.
- Manage risk assessment processes and identify workplace hazards proactively.
- Conduct incident investigations and perform root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
- Implement fire safety protocols and oversee chemical handling practices.
- Maintain compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Preferred certifications include NEBOSH IGC or an equivalent, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Internal Auditor Training, as well as First Aid and Fire Safety Training.
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in health, safety, and environment roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably FMCG or beverages sectors.
- Sound understanding of HSE laws and standards.
- Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in safety reporting.
