Job description

Job Overview

We invite a recent graduate motivated to contribute to the Health, Safety, Environment & Wellbeing (HSEW) efforts within Construction projects. This position offers valuable hands-on exposure to HSE compliance, governance, reporting mechanisms, site safety assurance, and cultural safety programs while collaborating with seasoned HSE professionals on a prominent Construction Giga-Project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the deployment of HSEW frameworks, associated procedures, and defined standards.
  • Engage in HSE training sessions, site inductions, and orientation visits to understand operational contexts.
  • Gain familiarity with project scopes, principal hazards, and the necessary HSE assurance protocols.
  • Help prepare various HSE documentation including reports, dashboards, presentations, performance data, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support document management, including training completions, induction logs, action tracking, audit and inspection records, and assurance documentation.
  • Manage coordination of HSE inductions, track attendance, and assist with new employee and stakeholder onboarding processes.
  • Contribute to safety leadership activities, conduct site safety inspections, engagement initiatives, and awareness campaigns promoting safe practices.
  • Join regular site inspections, project coordination meetings, and safety forums with HSE teams.
  • Participate in identifying unsafe conditions, logging observations, following up on corrective measures, and assisting with incident investigations.
  • Liaise with clients, project personnel, contractors, and stakeholders to drive HSE initiatives and foster a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or another relevant Construction-related field.
  • Recent university graduate equipped with strong IT skills.
  • A keen enthusiasm to build a career in construction-related HSE disciplines.
  • Effective communication abilities, organizational proficiency, and analytical thinking.
  • A proactive mindset with eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Familiarity with HSE concepts, risk management, and safety protocols is considered beneficial.

Additional Details

The role is based on-site at the Qiddiya Site Office, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
