Health Safety Environment Engineer

Job Summary

The HSE Engineer works alongside the Company HSE Manager or Project HSE Manager to help put the health, safety, and environment management system into practice. The position is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, review, and analysis of HSE activities at the project site so that safety targets and objectives are effectively tracked and achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the rollout of the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (PHSP) and the Project HSE Management Programme, ensuring site-level compliance.
• Help organize and take part in training sessions, HSE committee meetings, and coordination meetings.
• Provide guidance to supervisory staff on accident prevention and ways to improve work methods.
• Assist in directing and overseeing HSE officers working on site.
• Track HSE activities on the project to confirm that requirements are being met in line with the project HSE plan and HSEMS expectations.
• Check for hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe practices every day, and ensure observation reports and corrective actions are documented.
• Record and escalate violations on a daily basis, while recommending appropriate corrective measures.
• Support timely preparation and submission of project HSE performance reports and help drive achievement of HSE targets.
• Promote HSE initiatives, take part in safety awareness efforts, and contribute to incident reporting and closure in line with company and IMS policies.

Eligibility and Education

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering.
