Join a dynamic and results-focused team based in Mangere, Auckland, where collaboration, accountability, and continuous advancement are highly valued. At Jack Link’s, we pride ourselves on challenging norms, adapting swiftly, and working diligently to achieve impactful outcomes. Originating from a family recipe, the company has expanded into a thriving global FMCG business across the APAC region.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Business Partner for the APAC region, stationed at our Mangere manufacturing facility. - Collaborate with Production, Operations, and HR to define, implement, and enhance Health & Safety, wellbeing, and injury management frameworks, systems, and reporting throughout APAC.
- Coach, influence, and elevate onsite HR teams and operational leaders, providing practical and tailored advice grounded in real manufacturing settings.
- Stay visible on the shop floor, build strong relationships, and ensure safety measures are effective in practice, not just theory.
- Champion safety and wellbeing best practices by embedding safe working methods into everyday processes, balancing safety with productivity.
- Lead hazard identification, incident management, incident investigations, and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage Health & Safety reporting for APAC, delivering clear insights that promote continuous improvement.
- Partner with ACC and injury management providers to facilitate effective return-to-work programs.
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand Health & Safety and Employment laws, and oversee Australian H&S requirements where applicable.
- Use data-driven insights to identify risks, improve governance, and enhance system performance.
- Advocate for wellbeing initiatives that foster resilience, connection, and mental and physical health in the workplace.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Business Partner or similar capacity.
- Proven background in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand Health & Safety and Employment legislation; Australian experience is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with H&S systems, conducting incident investigations, performing risk assessments, managing injuries, and navigating ACC procedures.
- Excellent reporting, analytical, and communication capabilities.
- Practical, solution-oriented approach with confidence to influence organizational change.
- Capability to challenge existing practices while collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
- Relevant Health & Safety or related qualifications.
- Approachable and down-to-earth personality with genuine enthusiasm for team collaboration.
