The organisation is recognised for inclusive, culturally safe services that respect human rights across gender identity, sexuality, age, culture, language, faith, and ability. Its workplace culture aims to help staff bring their full selves to work and feel a strong sense of belonging.
About the role
The Health Promotion Coordinator will oversee the planning, delivery, and review of evidence-informed health promotion activities that align with team priorities. The role works closely with community members and stakeholders while also contributing to policy development and advocacy at both local and state levels. Key responsibilities
- Design, roll out, and assess health promotion initiatives in line with organisational goals, strategy, and relevant policy settings.
- Manage projects of moderate to high complexity by setting priorities, timelines, and delivery methods.
- Create and use evaluation approaches such as program logic and outcome measures, while meeting reporting and funding obligations.
- Oversee budgets, monitor spending, and assist with financial acquittals for programs and grants.
- Guide and support staff, students, and volunteers through supervision, feedback, and professional development.
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing team, juggle competing demands, and deliver results against KPIs and targets.
Candidate profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification in health promotion, community development, public health, or a similar discipline.
- Proven experience in health promotion practice and project management using primary prevention approaches.
- Background in one or more of the five health promotion focus areas in cohealth Health Promotion Strategy 2025–29.
- Ability to lead staff and manage budgeting, data collection, and reporting activities.
