Overview
The Choice is conducting a direct-hire search for a client in the digital health policy space for a Health Policy Analyst. This position focuses on tracking public policy activity, performing research, participating in legislative and regulatory discussions, supporting event and working-group content, and strengthening relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders. It is a chance to contribute directly to major healthcare innovation questions.
Work Arrangement
This is primarily a work-from-home role, but the selected candidate must live in the DMV region and be available to travel to meetings and events when needed. The engagement is a direct-hire opportunity.
Compensation
Pay starts at $55,000 annually, with some flexibility depending on the candidate's years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow legislative, regulatory, and policy changes affecting digital health, remote patient monitoring, telehealth, and artificial intelligence.
- Participate in congressional hearings, agency briefings, stakeholder meetings, and similar policy events.
- Represent the organization in meetings with congressional offices, federal agencies, coalitions, and industry groups, then share important takeaways with the team.
- Watch for federal and state requests for information, proposed regulations, and opportunities to submit public comments.
- Prepare public comments, policy responses, and regulatory filings on behalf of the organization.
- Investigate new healthcare policy topics and turn findings into briefs, reports, and concise summaries.
- Assist in shaping agendas and content for events, webinars, roundtables, and working sessions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and other external stakeholders.
- Contribute to research, education, and policy-related initiatives.
Qualifications
- Prior Capitol Hill experience is highly desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in public policy, public health, political science, health administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Strong capability in writing, research, and verbal communication.
- Genuine interest in healthcare innovation, technology, and public policy.
- Comfort juggling several projects and deadlines at the same time.
- Availability to travel occasionally for meetings and events.
