Role Overview
The Health Information Coordinator (Medical Records) is responsible for supporting staff and managing the Health Information Management (HIM) Department. This position ensures the monitoring and accurate maintenance of comprehensive health records for all clients served—a critical function to prevent legal liability. The role involves professional interaction with staff at all levels as well as clients and their families. The Coordinator reports to the Administrator or delegate, working closely with nursing, clinical program leadership, and various department heads. Guidance and mentorship on technical records management are provided by the corporate Health Information Department to comply with program-specific regulations.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least one year of experience in a health-related environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Basic computer proficiency including typing and data entry
- General office skills such as filing and organizing
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Competence in clerical procedures and computer use
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and develop professionally
- Capability to work independently and methodically without constant supervision
- Team-oriented mindset
- Understanding of relevant governing healthcare regulations

Compensation Details
The hourly wage range is fixed at $23 per hour. The final pay offer will consider a candidate’s qualifications, experience, licensure, and the specific program intensity.
