Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Tobacco Dependency Advisor to join a dedicated team led by the Substance Use Project Manager at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role is vital to the operation of our tobacco dependency service, supporting the NHS England pilot for smoke-free hospital environments as outlined in the NHS Long-Term Plan.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide expert advice on nicotine replacement therapies and other pharmacological supports to assist patients in quitting smoking. Interaction with patients will occur both one-on-one and in group settings, ensuring access to and documentation of evidence-based smoking cessation interventions according to established internal protocols modeled on the Ottawa Framework.
Qualifications and Skills
Applicants should demonstrate enthusiasm, a strong team ethic, and a commitment to patient welfare. Comprehensive training will be supplied to deliver the structured quit service effectively.
