Job description
About the role
This opportunity is for quantitative specialists who want to help improve AI systems. In this position, you will collaborate with advanced models on work such as reviewing AI-produced quantitative analysis, tackling technical challenges, and giving feedback that influences how these systems handle data, modelling, and scientific reasoning. The role is well-suited to people from fields such as data science, astrophysics, economics, biostatistics, operations research, or any other discipline that relies on rigorous quantitative thinking. Some contributors use this alongside another full-time job, while others make it their main work.
How the process works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that functions as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email, and paid assignments will be made available on the platform.
Advantages of contracting
- You can decide which projects to take on and when to work on them.
- The work is done on your own schedule, using your own computer, from home.
- Project rates begin at USD 50 to USD 100+ per hour, and some projects may include bonus pay.
Responsibilities
As an AI trainer focused on health data and quantitative reasoning, your work will centre on assessing, solving, and improving model outputs and analytical tasks.
- Review AI-generated quantitative outputs for correctness, including statistical analysis, predictive modelling, scientific reasoning, and data-based conclusions.
- Create and solve quantitative problems used to train and benchmark AI models, covering forecasting, experimental design, optimisation, and statistical inference.
- Prepare precise technical explanations and write analytical code that is well structured and well documented.
- Share feedback that helps refine the next generation of AI models for quantitative reasoning.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of practical experience in a quantitative job or research setting, such as data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a related area.
- Some coding experience is needed, along with the ability to write and review analytical code end to end.
- Hands-on familiarity with statistical techniques, predictive modelling, and experiment design, including A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
- Strong English fluency at native or bilingual level, plus excellent written communication skills.
- A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field is preferred; a master’s degree or PhD is an added advantage.
- Additional proof of expertise is beneficial, including a strong Kaggle ranking, AWS/GCP machine learning certifications, or comparable credentials.
Payment and contract details
Payment is processed through PayPal, and currency conversion from USD will be handled by PayPal where applicable. There is no charge to apply, and you will never be asked to send money.
Eligibility
Only applicants based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand will be considered. This is an independent contractor arrangement.
