Role Overview

The Health Education Specialist is a certified educator with classroom teaching experience. This role combines curriculum creation, research, production support, and cross-functional collaboration. The person in this position will contribute to writing, recording, filming, project coordination, workflow development, and occasional training or sales-related events, while reporting to the Director of Health and PE Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, design, and review content for the QuaverEdHealth website, including lesson plans, activities, units, assessments, and differentiation strategies.
• Keep text documents and databases current using Google Suite tools.
• Work closely with writers, subject-matter experts, teachers, software developers, audio engineers, and graphic designers.
• Deliver engaging professional learning sessions, presentations, or lectures for educators and administrators about 2 to 3 times each year.
• Edit drafts, proofread materials, and incorporate feedback into revised versions.
• Build detailed digital mockups for interactive screens and diagrams used in PE games and activities.
• Support the alignment of resources to state standards.
• Help prepare documentation that fits state curriculum adoption cycles and sales cycles.

Requirements

• Hands-on teaching experience in health education, health, or general classroom instruction at the elementary, middle, or high school level.
• Minimum education of a BA in Education.
• Working knowledge of national and/or state-specific health standards and student learning expectations.
• Background in educational approaches and frameworks related to health education, PE, Coordinated School Health, or the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model.
• Strong research ability and interest in becoming a subject expert on children’s health education and/or physical education trends.
• Experience facilitating training sessions, presentations, or lectures for educators and administrators.
• Understanding of curriculum design models and instructional practices, including culturally responsive teaching, universal design for learning, support for dual language learners, project-based learning, and Understanding by Design.
• Ability to use AI tools to improve writing speed and workflow efficiency.

• This is not a fully remote role. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Music Row in Nashville.
• Team members are currently expected to work in the office at least 3 days per week and may work remotely for 2 days per week. This arrangement can change at the discretion of the supervisor and company policies.
