Job description
Role Overview
The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing occupational health, safety, and environmental management systems that align with SAMA safety and security directives as well as ISO standards. Key duties include conducting annual fire warden and first aid training, overseeing workplace hazard identification, risk assessments in line with ISO 31000, and ensuring compliance with the Saudi Labour Law (chapter 8) and relevant safety guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute business safety assessments, maintain safety systems, and conduct alarm and detector inspections and cleaning.
- Oversee reporting protocols, policy documentation, and regulatory submissions relating to health and safety.
- Manage maintenance of safety equipment such as AED devices, first aid kits, fire mats, and maintain records of trained first aiders and fire wardens at reception locations.
- Provide training and expert advice in occupational health and safety management.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any safety or environmental emergencies that arise.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- NEBOSH IGC, Level 6 Diploma, or an equivalent recognised NEBOSH qualification.
- Prior experience as an Occupational Health and Safety Manager within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Fire safety manager certification and demonstrated practical experience in implementing health and fire safety protocols and conducting related training.
- Familiarity with and compliance to OH&S regulations as per Saudi Labour Law.
