About the Role

Sunda International is looking for a competent and proactive Health and Safety Manager to spearhead all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives within our factory and warehouse environments. This role requires leading a committed safety team, ensuring legal and company compliance, and cultivating a culture committed to zero workplace harm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead all occupational health and safety activities in warehouse and factory settings, aligning with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Create, implement, and regularly update safety management systems and protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk evaluations to promptly identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Oversee development and execution of corrective and preventive measures following audits, incidents, and regulatory findings to reduce workplace accidents.
  • Design and execute safety training sessions, emergency drills, and awareness initiatives to enhance employees' safety knowledge and responsiveness.
  • Lead detailed investigations of workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring corrective steps are taken based on root cause analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and internal safety policies.
  • Engage with governmental bodies, auditors, and other external stakeholders regarding health and safety matters.
  • Analyze safety performance data and trends, providing recommendations to senior management for ongoing improvements.
  • Prepare comprehensive safety reports on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual bases; maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Manage emergency response programs, including fire safety, evacuation protocols, and business continuity planning.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the safety team, ensuring that safety initiatives are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with departments including Production, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality, and HR to embed safety considerations across operational activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related discipline.
  • At least eight years of experience in health and safety roles, including minimum four years in supervisory or managerial positions, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Deep knowledge of local occupational health and safety laws, environmental rules, and industry best practices.
  • Capability to develop safety systems, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations effectively.
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent people management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational aptitude.
  • Experienced in safety reporting, compliance documentation, and data analysis.
  • Exemplary integrity, meticulous attention to safety detail, and dedication to nurturing a safety-first culture.
