Health and Safety Advisor

Overview

A prominent construction contractor in Cork is seeking a motivated Health and Safety Advisor to join their team, overseeing health and safety standards on multiple commercial building projects across Cork City and West Cork.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce health and safety protocols on various projects.
• Conduct thorough site inspections, audits, and safety checks regularly.
• Assist project teams in preparing risk assessments, method statements, and other safety documentation.
• Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, corporate policies, and project-specific health and safety requirements.
• Deliver health and safety advice and training to on-site personnel.
• Investigate any safety incidents and support the implementation of corrective measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain safety standards.
• Maintain and update accurate safety records and reports.
• Encourage and foster a positive health and safety culture across all construction sites.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor within the construction sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of Irish health and safety laws and construction regulations.
• Experience working on commercial construction projects is advantageous.
• Possesses relevant health and safety certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualifications.
• Strong communication and organisational capabilities.
• Ability to effectively liaise with site teams and subcontractors.
• Full valid driving license.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary ranging from e282AC60,000 to e282AC70,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
