About the Position
Become a key part of Camex Group, a tightly-knit team committed to excellence in health and safety across our four companies. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will deliver direct and impactful support on our operational sites, assisting our Health, Safety & Environment Manager to ensure safe working environments.
Key Duties
- Support the creation and continuous enhancement of Site-Specific Safety Plans and project documentation.
- Carry out field assurance focused on verifying critical risks.
- Facilitate new staff inductions and contribute to ongoing health and safety training initiatives.
- Perform regular workspace inspections and audits.
- Assist with the investigation and management of incidents, near misses, and environmental issues, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures.
- Help develop Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and ensure environmental compliance at various sites.
Candidate Profile
- At least two years of pertinent experience in applying and maintaining health and safety standards aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 guidelines.
- Possession of a valid full Driver's Licence.
- Familiarity with Quality Control under ISO 9001 is highly advantageous.
- Preferred certifications include Site Safe and First Aid qualifications.
- Prior experience in civil construction sectors is an asset.
- A proactive, pragmatic mindset with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices constructively.
