About the Role
Our client, a prominent BFSI firm, is seeking a hands-on Head of Technology to spearhead the regional technology strategy, oversee software development, and drive digital transformation initiatives across their Asian offices. This pivotal role requires an individual who can serve as both an architectural authority and an innovation driver for the company. The position involves balancing high-level regional infrastructure and cybersecurity governance with direct leadership of software engineering teams focused on developing advanced internal platforms.
Key Priorities
- Transitioning from legacy workflows by actively assessing and integrating emerging AI technologies and automation tools to enhance investment analysis, risk management, and operational effectiveness.
- Providing guidance on code quality, system design, and data architecture for proprietary platforms essential for investment and reporting functions.
- Establishing and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across all Asian offices, while rigorously enforcing robust cybersecurity and data governance policies.
- Ensuring all digital assets and technology deployments adhere to evolving regulatory and compliance standards within the APAC region.
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable technical discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years in technology leadership roles, with demonstrated success in financial services, asset management, or fintech sectors.
- Proficiency in both reviewing code and system architecture, alongside managing intricate cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines.
- Hands-on experience in implementing automation and utilizing AI/ML workflows within a regulated operational context.
- Proven ability in team management and navigating compliance frameworks across key Asian markets.
