This opportunity suits a highly credible professional who has already succeeded in selling complex services at a senior level. The successful person will influence decision-makers, open new markets, and position the firm’s services as catalysts for operational improvement and transformational change.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and nurture trusted relationships with senior leaders, decision-makers, and key influencers within target sectors.
- Spot and qualify high-value opportunities by applying sector knowledge and client insight.
- Run strategic client meetings, provide consultative selling support, and help shape tailored solutions for complex business and operational needs.
- Create and implement sales plans that support growth objectives and keep a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Track market shifts, regulatory developments, and emerging sector needs across healthcare, construction, and utilities to guide business development activity.
- Act as a visible representative of the organisation through authored content, speaking opportunities, and client-facing materials that strengthen the brand.
Experience and skills required
- Substantial senior-level background in business development, sales, or account management within professional services or consultancy.
- Proven success in securing and managing complex engagements with senior stakeholders in large public or private sector organisations.
- A solid network and working understanding of at least one relevant sector, such as healthcare, construction, or utilities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence C-suite or board-level stakeholders in intricate organisational settings.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation capability.
- A strategic, consultative approach to solution selling.
- Willingness and ability to travel across Ireland and the UK.
Desirable experience
- Experience producing thought leadership material such as articles, white papers, and case studies.
- Exposure to change management or transformation approaches, including commitment-based management.
- Understanding of public procurement and tendering in regulated environments.
- Awareness of the principles behind high-performing organisations, including collaborative leadership, continuous improvement, and change management.
