Head of Supply Chain & Operations

Position Overview

This role represents a leadership opportunity for an operations specialist to drive transformation within a rapidly expanding direct-to-consumer business. As Head of Supply Chain & Operations based in Switzerland, you will spearhead the entire global supply chain strategy, including forecasting, procurement, logistics, and supplier cooperation. The goal is to design and implement robust, cost-effective systems that improve operational effectiveness and support sustainable business scaling. Working in close partnership with senior leaders, you will navigate complex operational challenges and craft scalable processes that enable confident growth in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete supply chain function encompassing demand forecasting, inventory planning, procurement, logistics operations, and overall performance management.
• Create and deploy scalable supply chain frameworks that enhance efficiency, reliability, and transparency throughout organizational growth.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers and manufacturers worldwide, ensuring compliance with quality standards and operational excellence.
• Supervise freight forwarding, customs clearance, import procedures, and coordinate international logistics activities.
• Optimize third-party logistics partnerships to improve delivery efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, payment terms, and operational agreements to reduce costs and strengthen business partnerships.
• Oversee ERP system usage and develop precise reporting mechanisms for inventory, procurement, and supply chain data.
• Establish operational infrastructure capable of scaling the business while minimizing reliance on daily leadership involvement.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in managing extensive supply chain operations, preferably in direct-to-consumer, eCommerce, consumer goods, or rapidly growing brands.
• Strong knowledge of international logistics, procurement strategies, inventory control, and supplier negotiation tactics.
• Experience engaging with global manufacturing partners, notably those based in China.
• Practical experience managing 3PL providers, ERP platforms, forecasting tools, and operational reporting procedures.
• Proven ability to develop processes, systems, and teams that facilitate business expansion.
• Excellent leadership qualities with a track record of independently resolving complex operational challenges.
• Fluency in English is essential; German language skills are advantageous.
• Data-driven analytical capabilities and the aptitude to make informed, timely decisions under pressure.
