Job description
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee capacity and production planning alongside material requirements planning (disposition).
- Take accountability for external delivery reliability and punctuality.
- Manage and enhance Sales & Operations Planning processes across procurement, warehousing & logistics, customs & foreign trade, and routing, continuously improving collaboration at interfaces with adjacent departments.
- Prepare forecasts and scenario plans ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Guarantee compliance with LkSG, EMRT, CMRT standards, supplier qualifications, and comparable regulations.
- Lead supply chain team, ensuring professional expertise and adequate personnel capacity.
- Lead strategic projects with responsibility for meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality targets.
- Drive continuous improvement of supply chain operations with a focus on increasing process efficiency and effectiveness through digitalization initiatives.
- Identify areas for optimization to reduce processing times and error rates and implement sustainable improvements.
- Develop technical and economic problem-solving concepts and ensure successful implementation through to production readiness.
- Actively contribute to the development of skills and processes aligned with company objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Hold a scientific university degree (Dipl.-Ing. or M.Sc.) in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Possess extensive professional experience in supply chain management and production planning, including several years in leadership roles.
- Have strong expertise and hands-on experience in material requirements planning and disposition.
- Bring extensive knowledge and practical experience in managing and advancing Sales & Operations Planning processes.
- Have led multi-year projects with significant investment volumes, especially in process optimization and technology implementation.
- Be well-versed in relevant standards, norms, and legal requirements, including occupational safety, TISAX, VDA 6.4, DIN EN ISO 9001, QEHS, LkSG, as well as customs and foreign trade regulations.
- Have solid experience analyzing, optimizing, and developing production processes using Lean methodologies such as value stream mapping and quick response management.
- Bring comprehensive experience in the metalworking industry, particularly in machining manufacturing.
