Role Overview
This senior leadership position directly reports to company directors and carries full responsibility for the supply chain and fulfilment operations. The role entails overseeing the day-to-day function and shaping scalable processes to support continued expansion, ensuring excellent customer experiences, strong margins, and eco-conscious practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the supply chain and fulfilment teams to achieve consistent, reliable, and scalable outcomes.
- Develop and mentor a small in-house team by establishing performance targets, KPIs, and fostering accountability.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with suppliers and external collaborators.
- Take full ownership of operational outcomes including stock levels, costs, and risk management, collaborating closely with leadership for planning.
- Promptly resolve operational issues, focusing on long-term improvements and learning.
- Design streamlined processes and implement systems to reduce complexity and reduce errors.
- Deliver succinct reports and actionable insights to the leadership team to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare operations for future growth via resilience enhancement, accurate forecasting, and capacity planning.
- Bring operational insights and market trends into broader business discussions and cross-team initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Extensive senior-level experience within supply chain, fulfilment or operations leadership.
- Proven track record of working in scaling or rapidly growing companies.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing teams and driving employee development.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to optimize service, costs, and risk appropriately.
- Experience handling inventory management and managing supplier relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in process design and operational improvements with a systems-oriented approach.
- Highly organized, dependable, and accountable for delivering results.
- Excellent written communication abilities.
- Self-driven, practical approach, and readiness to be involved hands-on when necessary.
