Role overview

SideShift is hiring a Head of Strategy & Business Operations to work closely with the founding team at a rapidly expanding creator marketplace. The company has reached more than $8M in annual recurring revenue with a team of under 10 people and counts well-known technology investors and board members among its backers.

This role is intended for a highly capable operator who can partner directly with the founders and help shape the next stage of growth. The position combines strategy, execution, client support, hiring, and internal operations, with a strong focus on building scalable systems that improve the founders' leverage.

Compensation

The base pay for this role is between $130,000 and $190,000, with meaningful equity upside also included.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Designing and improving internal workflows and operating systems, including CRM processes, campaign operations, and bug-reporting pipelines.
  • Handling core business operations such as payroll, contracts, onboarding, legal and tax coordination, and vendor management.
  • Managing recruiting and people operations end to end, including sourcing candidates, screening talent, and coordinating the hiring process.
  • Working directly with clients, including fast-growing AI companies, to support campaign outcomes and maintain strong account health.
  • Developing repeatable playbooks and operational frameworks that help the founders scale their output and decision-making capacity.

What the team is looking for

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategy, operations, chief of staff work, or another role supporting startup leadership directly. The company is seeking someone with a strong record of ownership and follow-through, along with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

Success in this role also requires confidence in client conversations, professionalism, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to solve problems proactively without needing detailed direction.
