About Cast AI

Cast AI leads the Application Performance Automation industry by helping organizations automate complex cloud operations on a large scale. With autonomous decision-making embedded within Kubernetes and AI infrastructure, the platform continuously enhances performance, reliability, and efficiency, removing the necessity for manual infrastructure management. Trusted by over 2,100 global organizations including Akamai, BMW, Cisco, and more, Cast AI operates in 34 countries and achieved unicorn status in 2026.

Role Overview

The Head of Strategic Business Development will pioneer growth avenues beyond conventional go-to-market efforts by spearheading strategic partnerships, innovative business models, and executive collaborations spanning Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships. This hands-on, high-impact role is responsible for converting promising ideas and executive relationships into validated, commercially viable programs that are then transitioned to long-term owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Cast AI's leadership at important industry events, executive forums, and strategic partner meetings.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with senior executives across the cloud and AI technology sectors.
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives that expand market presence, enhance product positioning, create new market channels, or unlock additional revenue streams.
  • Translate executive conversations into clear commercial propositions, business models, and strategic cases.
  • Assess opportunities regarding strategic alignment, customer value, financial potential, technical feasibility, investment needs, timelines, and likelihood of success.
  • Lead negotiations and coordinate cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships to progress and finalize agreements.
  • Incubate new initiatives by developing integrated launch plans, coordinating product integrations, conducting pilots, executing co-selling efforts, and activating markets.
  • Overcome early-stage challenges, sustain momentum, and evaluate the value generation to justify ongoing investments.
  • Successfully transition completed initiatives by documenting business models, economics, governance, and key partnerships for operational ownership transfer.

Candidate Profile

  • 10 to 15+ years in Strategic Business Development, Partnerships, Alliances, Enterprise Technology, or a related commercial leadership field.
  • Direct experience in cloud infrastructure, AI, developer tools, enterprise software, or similarly complex B2B technology ecosystems.
  • Proven track record initiating, structuring, negotiating, launching, and when necessary, concluding strategic partnerships.
  • Confident engagement with C-suite, product, technical, and commercial leaders.
  • Solid business acumen including partnership economics and business case development.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to interact credibly with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Ability to align multiple internal departments and external stakeholders within fast-growing organizations.
  • Independently capable of managing analysis, relationship cultivation, negotiation, and program execution without large team reliance.
  • Executive presence suitable for representing the company in high-level external environments.
  • Willingness to travel globally approximately 30–50% of the time.

Preferred Backgrounds

Senior roles in partner development or alliances at hyperscalers, strategic business development at AI or AI infrastructure firms, or similar functions in high-growth infrastructure software companies are highly desirable. Experience in both large platforms and growth-stage enterprises is especially valuable.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with an expected on-target earnings between $275,000 and $300,000 USD plus significant equity participation.
  • Opportunity to shape critical strategic roles in one of the fastest-growing infrastructure software companies worldwide.
  • Close collaboration with Cast AI's executive team on transformative projects.
  • Engagement with prominent organizations in the global cloud and AI arenas.
  • Flexible global remote-first work setup.
  • 401(k) retirement plan featuring full company match up to 6% after three months.
  • Comprehensive UnitedHealthcare medical, dental, and vision coverage for US-based employees.
  • Allocated budgets for personal development, team-building, company events, and necessary equipment to ensure success.

Recruitment Process

  • Initial screening with a recruiter.
  • Interviews with the hiring manager and additional rounds as applicable.
  • A culture fit interview with an executive member of Cast AI.
  • Final stage background check conducted by a third-party service.
