Role overview

This senior leadership role is based in Riyadh and sits on the executive track with exposure to board-level decision making. The position is focused on identifying, shaping, and delivering growth opportunities across the wider group. The aim is to unlock new revenue streams, strengthen collaboration between business units, and support expansion into new sectors, services, and markets.

The role partners closely with executive leadership to steer corporate growth initiatives, new business platforms, partnerships, and investments that contribute to long-term diversification and scale.

Core mandate

  • Build fresh revenue channels for the group.
  • Spot and activate opportunities that connect multiple business units.
  • Create strategic platforms and partnerships that support growth.
  • Advise senior leadership on corporate expansion priorities.

Key responsibilities

Corporate growth initiatives

  • Identify business opportunities that align with the company’s long-term direction.
  • Design and roll out new revenue platforms across different business units.
  • Assess feasibility and commercial viability for new corporate initiatives.
  • Convert strategic priorities into practical business opportunities.

Cross-business synergy development

  • Find ways to create value between existing business units.
  • Develop integrated solutions that combine strengths across divisions.
  • Work with business unit leaders to implement synergy initiatives.
  • Measure and report on the value created through synergies.

New business line and platform development

  • Track emerging sectors, technologies, and service models.
  • Build commercial frameworks for new business lines.
  • Lead the formation of new corporate platforms or verticals.
  • Support the launch and early growth of new ventures.

Strategic partnerships and alliances

  • Engage with global partners, technology providers, and investors.
  • Shape strategic alliances, joint ventures, and co-development structures.
  • Support senior-level negotiations and relationship management.
  • Make sure partnerships deliver both revenue and strategic impact.

Strategic investments and M&A

  • Identify acquisition and investment opportunities that fit corporate growth plans.
  • Prepare business cases, financial models, and valuation work.
  • Support due diligence and transaction structuring activities.
  • Assist leadership in making investment decisions.

Executive-level business development

  • Support the CEO and senior leaders in building strategic client relationships.
  • Identify long-term programs with key government and strategic clients.
  • Position the company as a strategic partner rather than a transactional supplier.

Corporate opportunity pipeline

  • Build and manage a pipeline of strategic corporate opportunities.
  • Rank initiatives based on strategic relevance and financial return.
  • Present opportunities to executive leadership and the board.

KPIs

  • Revenue generated from new corporate business lines.
  • Value delivered through cross-business synergy initiatives.
  • Number and scale of new strategic platforms launched.
  • Partnerships or joint ventures completed.
  • ROI/IRR achieved from new corporate initiatives.
  • Share of total company revenue contributed by new segments.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is required.
  • An MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is preferred.

Experience

  • 10 to 18 years of experience in corporate business development, strategic planning, or investment roles within infrastructure, energy, industrial, or EPC sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in launching new business lines, running corporate or cross-business initiatives, and forming strategic partnerships or investments.
