About Raptor
Raptor is a rapidly expanding independent agency specializing in youth and community marketing worldwide. We enable leading brands to engage authentically with younger audiences through ambassadors, creators, communities, experiential events, and social-first campaigns. Having evolved from a startup to a global agency with operations in North America, Europe, and APAC, our client roster includes Airbnb, PepsiCo, Deliveroo, Jägermeister, Tinder, and more. Our vision is to become the premier youth marketing agency globally by assembling top talent, innovative technology, and a consistent global operating model.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced social media leader to establish and direct a new social division within Raptor’s youth marketing framework. This role involves crafting the vision, defining the service offering, and driving the commercial expansion of our social desk. You will leverage ongoing community-generated content and cultural insights to develop platform-tailored strategies, continuous content systems, and social campaigns that enhance relevance, engagement, and growth. Collaboration with experiential teams will amplify activations across pre-event, live, and post-event phases. Your leadership will help shape a cohesive social service integrated across client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate Raptor’s comprehensive social proposition, including service models, pricing, and growth strategies centered on community involvement.
- Design and pitch insightful, culture-driven social strategies for existing clients and new business opportunities.
- Manage platform strategies across key channels such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging social platforms.
- Create reliable, continuous content frameworks that transform community outputs into regular publishing streams.
- Establish standards for content sourcing, permissions, rights management, brand safety, and ethical use of user-generated materials.
- Lead the social amplification strategies supporting experiential marketing activations before, during, and after events.
- Oversee content programming, creative briefs, reactive content creation, branded shoots, video content, and other platform-centric production.
- Integrate organic social performance with paid promotion, coordinating audience targeting, budget allocation, testing, and optimization.
- Design community management protocols including tone, engagement strategies, moderation, escalation processes, and social customer service.
- Utilize social listening tools, analytics, and cultural insight to track trends and identify audience and content opportunities.
- Define key performance indicators and reporting systems covering reach, engagement, growth, content impact, and business outcomes.
- Lead senior-level client presentations, workshops, campaign evaluations, proposals, and ongoing business development discussions.
- Manage Raptor’s social channels, showcasing agency culture, ideas, and projects as a market-facing platform.
- Grow the social function by recruiting and developing a team and building partnerships across strategy, creativity, community, production, and paid social.
- Oversee scopes, budgets, staffing, schedules, quality standards, and profitability for the social portfolio.
Candidate Profile
You should bring at least five years in social media roles, especially in social-first, creative, or integrated agencies, coupled with a strong portfolio of culturally relevant social campaigns for prominent consumer brands. Your expertise will include crafting and presenting social strategies that blend audience insight, creativity, and business goals; hands-on experience with organic social, community engagement, content creation, and paid amplification; and managing creators and production vendors.
A proven track record in account growth, new business contributions, and efficient management of budgets, resources, and delivery across multiple clients is essential. You will also demonstrate leadership in team development with ambition to build a high-achieving social team. Deep understanding of youth culture, Gen Z trends, and experiential marketing is highly advantageous.
Core Competencies
- Building targeted, insight-driven social media strategies that define brand presence and success metrics across platforms.
- Harnessing real community interactions and conversations to generate relevant content, foster relationships, and enhance creativity.
- Driving social-first creative concepts tailored to feed and community contexts through clear briefing and quality standards.
- Commercial acumen in creating, marketing, and scaling social services while safeguarding profitability.
- Strong client engagement skills with the ability to communicate complex social strategies effectively to senior stakeholders.
- Fostering cross-functional collaboration among strategy, creative, community, experiential, production, media, and client teams globally.
Location and Travel
This role is based in the UK, ideally London, with hybrid work arrangements offering flexibility. Regular in-person attendance for critical meetings, shoots, workshops, pitches, and team development is expected. Occasional UK and international travel will be required for major activations and events. You will collaborate with teams across US, UK, and global offices managing time zones with planned travel to maximize value of face-to-face interactions. The working pattern aims to balance sustainability, transparency, high-quality social work, excellent client relations, and global teamwork.
