Organization Purpose

The Global Offshore Development Center (ODC) Management unit guarantees alignment between IT operations, vendor relations, and business goals through a governance framework that delivers clear outcomes, balancing the needs of stakeholders, workforce, and operational functions.

Role Overview

The Head of Site Management leads the strategic and operational oversight of Emirates NBD’s Bangalore ODCs, overseeing multiple facilities with numerous IT personnel from various vendors. This senior position encompasses planning, vendor governance, onsite workforce management, and ensuring service quality and operational efficiency that supports the bank's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all ODC operations across Bangalore sites.
  • Serve as neutral governance authority over all vendors sharing ODC campus space.
  • Implement unified workplace policies and promote vendor collaboration.
  • Lead forums to resolve cross-vendor challenges related to space, staffing, and facility operations.
  • Monitor vendor adherence to contracts, ODC standards, and policies onsite.
  • Manage offshore delivery outcomes ensuring alignment with contracts and business needs.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks and risk controls to mitigate operational, regulatory, contractual, and reputational risks.
  • Oversee campus facility management, seating allocations, transportation services, and employee amenities.
  • Ensure compliance with audits, business continuity plans, and outsourcing standards.
  • Act as the main interface for stakeholder engagement between the bank and vendors.
  • Lead staff engagement programs, including town halls and communication platforms.
  • Track vendor performance through governance meetings, KPIs, and executive reviews.
  • Drive adoption of supplier operating models and enforce corporate policy compliance.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market factors influencing outsourcing and vendor management.

Deliverables

  • Lead ODC strategy development and operational execution aligned with bank goals.
  • Manage governance frameworks ensuring regulatory and security standards compliance, regular audits, and risk assessments.
  • Serve as primary liaison managing vendor relationships, budgeting, cost efficiency, and team leadership.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding/offboarding and enforce adherence to operating policies.
  • Manage vendor security compliance, coordinate audits, and oversee risk mitigation protocols.
  • Control financial reporting, billing accuracy, budget monitoring, and operational transparency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Required: A degree in IT, a related university degree, or equivalent experience, with banking qualifications preferred.
  • Desirable certifications: ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, COBIT, AGILE methodologies.
  • Experience: 10–15 years in IT disciplines related to ODC, vendor management, service delivery, program management, and Agile.
  • Proven leadership, strategic planning, and execution capabilities.
  • Strong expertise in software development methodologies, IT service and project management.
  • Deep understanding of banking regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and financial management skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy into operational plans and deliver measurable business impacts.
  • Experience managing large-scale organizational change and offshore/outsourcing models.
  • Competencies include leadership, communication, conflict resolution, people management, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement, and coaching.
