Job description

About the Company

Raide is focused on improving human-powered mountain movement through high-performance, highly functional equipment and apparel for ski touring and running.

The company is among the fastest-growing names in outdoor sports, built by challenging standard industry practices and maintaining a strict standard for product quality, brand storytelling, and internal operations. This is an uncommon chance to help shape a brand from an early stage, where your work will directly influence how athletes experience the mountains.

Role Summary

Raide is hiring a Head of Sales to lead its wholesale business and strengthen relationships with retailers and distributors that represent the brand. The business is already present in more than 100 retail doors across 20+ countries within its first two years.

This position will drive retail expansion, support current accounts, oversee sales representatives, and define the sales approach that will support long-term growth. You will partner closely with leadership, product, and marketing teams to make sure Raide expands with the right partners and in the right markets, while protecting the brand’s performance-driven identity and authenticity.

The role combines strategy, execution, and relationship management. It includes finding growth opportunities, managing important accounts, and helping build the structure of the wholesale organization as the company scales.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement wholesale plans for North America and international markets, choosing the right partners to grow the brand while keeping its positioning strong in specialty outdoor retail.
  • Build durable relationships with major retail partners, ensuring they remain informed, supported, and aligned with the brand.
  • Work with operations and product teams on sales forecasts, seasonal ordering, and coordination between commercial commitments and production planning.
  • Support international pricing decisions for Raide products.
  • Improve sell-through by collaborating with retailers on merchandising, education, and product storytelling, while working with the creative team to present the product effectively in wholesale channels.
  • Coordinate and support independent sales representatives and distributors where needed.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and retail meetings as a visible advocate for the brand.
  • Collect and relay feedback from retailers and customers to product and leadership teams to guide product development and broader strategy.
  • Provide ongoing wholesale support, including warranty issues, order adjustments, and product-related questions.
  • Over time, help build and lead a wholesale and dealer services team.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in international wholesale sales, preferably in outdoor, running, or performance apparel/equipment.
  • Background working with specialty outdoor retailers and major industry accounts.
  • Established network within the outdoor retail community.
  • Demonstrated success growing wholesale reach while protecting brand positioning.
  • Strong capability in forecasting and planning.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while staying hands-on with accounts.
  • Willingness to travel about once a month, with international travel roughly once per quarter.
  • Experience in ski touring and running is considered an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary of $100,000 to $150,000 plus commission, along with equity, free gear, flexible working hours, unlimited vacation, and health and dental insurance.

Equal Opportunity and Accessibility

Raide is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
