Job description
Role Overview
We are actively searching for a seasoned Head of Sales specializing in the corporate travel and tour sector to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This leadership position focuses on spearheading the corporate sales division, fostering revenue growth, nurturing vital client partnerships, and elevating the firm's footprint in the business travel market.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the corporate sales operations within the Travel & Tours department, aiming to meet or surpass revenue and growth objectives.
- Formulate and execute long-term sales strategies to augment corporate accounts and broaden presence in the business travel sector.
- Establish and sustain robust relationships with major corporate clients, travel managers, and critical stakeholders.
- Manage the development and delivery of comprehensive corporate travel solutions including group reservations, business travel programs, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) coordination.
- Collaborate closely with airlines, hotels, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), and global travel vendors to negotiate favorable rates and service contracts.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and other developments to pinpoint fresh business opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and enhance the corporate sales team’s performance and customer service standards.
- Maximize the use of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and travel technology platforms to support sales processes and reporting needs.
- Conduct regular sales performance reviews and provide precise forecasting and progress reports to senior executives.
- Ensure all corporate accounts receive exceptional service, driving high client satisfaction levels.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Tourism, Hospitality Management, or equivalent disciplines.
- Seven to ten years of experience in corporate travel, travel sales, or related tourism industries, with a minimum of three years in managerial or supervisory roles.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing corporate sales growth, managing significant accounts, and spearheading business development efforts within the travel sector.
- In-depth understanding of corporate travel management practices and familiarity with GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Galileo.
- Competence in handling MICE projects, managing corporate contracts, and dealing with large-scale travel arrangements.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, excellent negotiation tactics, strong communication, and relationship-building skills.
