Head of Project Controls and Services – Offshore Projects

Overview

A prominent international energy company in Qatar is seeking a Head of Project Controls and Services to lead their multidisciplinary team in managing extensive offshore projects. This pivotal leadership position is accountable for ensuring excellence in project controls across offshore developments, guaranteeing delivery adherence to timelines, budgets, and overall project goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Directing project services including cost management and budget oversight
• Managing planning and scheduling activities
• Supporting contracts and procurement processes
• Overseeing accounts payable and financial monitoring
• Controlling documentation and reporting mechanisms
• Administering project governance and related administrative duties

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years experience in the Oil & Gas sector
• At least 8 years in senior or leadership roles within project controls
• Experience working with operators, EPC contractors, or engineering consultancies
• Proven involvement in major offshore projects throughout the EPIC lifecycle
• Expertise in cost control, project reporting, planning, scheduling, and project execution strategies
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, P6 Analytics, Risk Analysis, MS Project, MS Office, and SAP

The role is office-based in Qatar and involves direct hire employment with the client company. It plays a crucial role in guiding project execution through all stages from engineering to commissioning and startup.
