Job description
About the Role and Team
This senior leadership position entails full responsibility for end-to-end manufacturing operations of electric vehicle two-wheelers and battery packs at the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar facility. The Production Head acts as the strategic and operational leader of the production unit, aligning high-level business objectives with effective shop-floor execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, ensuring goals for Battery pack manufacturing align with company strategy and targets.
- Oversee daily floor operations to optimize manpower, machinery, and material resources to meet TAKT times and delivery commitments.
- Leverage KPIs, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and real-time data for capacity planning and resource allocation decisions.
- Own the Profit & Loss of the production unit, managing operational expenses and minimizing wastage.
- Drive the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and automation, to enhance production modernization.
- Maintain robust process control ensuring battery performance consistency and safety standards are met.
- Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts to maximize machine uptime through autonomous and scheduled maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (M.Tech or MBA in Operations is advantageous).
- Minimum of 14 years in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in leadership positions.
