Role overview

The company’s supply chain spans residential distributed installations, utility-scale EPC delivery, and the manufacturing of internally designed hardware. In this role, you will create and lead the procurement capability that turns external spend into a strategic advantage through better supplier choices, stronger commercial terms, tighter controls, and a sharp focus on landed cost. You will also lead a team of category-focused Procurement Managers and own procurement strategy across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Set the procurement direction and oversee strategy across installations, utility-scale EPC, and hardware manufacturing categories.
• Lead, coach, and develop the full procurement team.
• Define the global supplier approach, including supplier selection, segmentation, performance management, and relationship building.
• Establish contract standards, approval processes, spend controls, and procurement governance.
• Drive cost reduction and measurable value creation across third-party spend.
• Work closely with installations, development/EPC, hardware/product, and finance teams to keep procurement aligned with the delivery roadmap.

What they’re looking for

The ideal candidate brings substantial leadership experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply-chain management, preferably across more than one of the following areas: capital projects/EPC, manufactured hardware, and field operations. You should have a proven record of building supplier networks and delivering meaningful savings quickly. Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skill are essential, particularly the ability to balance cost, speed, and risk.

The role suits someone comfortable establishing processes, systems, and team structure in an early-stage environment. A practical, first-principles approach is important, along with the ability to move between category-level strategy and the detail of a single purchase order. Experience in energy, renewables, construction, or hardware supply chains would be a strong plus.
