The company operates with the idea of “Simplicity at Scale” and emphasizes values such as Support, Excellence, Communication, Teamwork, Integrity, Growth, and Openness. Sectigo focuses on operational efficiency, strong customer experience, and building accountable, diverse teams aligned to business goals.
Role Overview
Sectigo is hiring a senior procurement leader to create, expand, and run its procurement function. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this person will act as a strategic partner to internal teams, guiding vendor strategy, sourcing decisions, spending choices, procurement governance, reporting, and controls. The role combines high-level strategy with hands-on execution in a lean environment, including renewals, sourcing activities, purchase processing, vendor coordination, and contract support.
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with on-site presence required at least 3 to 4 days each week. The expected compensation range is USD 120,000 to 150,000, depending on internal equity and experience, and it may be adjusted through approval based on business needs and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, lead, and improve Sectigo’s procurement operations, covering policies, workflows, approvals, controls, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and vendor oversight.
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, IT, Security, Engineering, Product, Sales, and executive leaders on vendor planning, sourcing choices, contract terms, third-party risk, and spend management.
- Negotiate complex, high-value agreements across SaaS, software licensing, cloud and infrastructure, professional services, security vendors, and enterprise technology platforms.
- Create sourcing and category strategies that balance cost efficiency, service quality, business flexibility, risk control, and long-term supplier value.
- Handle day-to-day procurement work in a lean setup, including sourcing events, vendor communication, purchase requests, contract review, purchase orders, renewals, reporting, and issue escalation.
- Develop a structured renewal process that improves visibility into expiring contracts, pricing changes, negotiation opportunities, terms, and supplier performance.
- Build recurring reporting on spend, savings, procurement KPIs, and vendor performance for leadership review and decision support.
- Identify, assess, and manage strategic suppliers while strengthening preferred vendor relationships and supplier performance management.
- Collaborate with Legal, Security, Finance, and business teams to address third-party risk, data security, compliance, commercial commitments, and contract obligations.
- Run RFPs, competitive sourcing efforts, ROI analysis, business case reviews, and total cost of ownership assessments for major spending decisions.
- Explore and apply AI, automation, and procurement tools to improve sourcing speed, contract review, risk monitoring, spend analysis, renewal tracking, and user experience.
- Initially operate as an individual contributor while helping shape future team structure as the function grows.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should bring deep procurement and sourcing experience, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to build a scalable function from the ground up. Experience in SaaS, technology, cybersecurity, software, or another fast-growing B2B environment is strongly preferred. The role also calls for comfort working across departments and engaging with senior leadership.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, finance, operations, or a similar field is required. An advanced degree or professional procurement certification is preferred.
Experience and Skills
- At least 10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, supply chain, finance operations, or a related area.
- At least 3 years in a senior procurement leadership, strategic sourcing, or function-building role.
- Proven experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including SaaS, software licensing, cloud and infrastructure services, professional services, and enterprise vendor contracts.
- Track record of generating savings, improving procurement controls, increasing spend visibility, and building scalable processes.
- Experience partnering with Finance, Legal, IT, Security, Engineering, Product, Sales, and executive teams.
- Ability to establish structure in a changing environment through policies, approval flows, reporting routines, vendor governance, and stakeholder education.
- Strong analytical and commercial thinking, including evaluation of total cost of ownership, ROI, usage, pricing models, commitments, and business value.
- Experience with procurement systems, ERP workflows, contract lifecycle management tools, vendor platforms, spend analytics tools, or similar technology.
- Interest in using AI, automation, and data-driven tools to improve procurement operations and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management abilities with a practical, low-bureaucracy approach.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, lean environment that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
