Role Overview

The Head of Primary is responsible for providing strategic and academic leadership for the Primary division, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and student development through effective implementation of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). This position requires guiding the Primary academic team, enhancing curriculum design and delivery, monitoring educational standards, facilitating continuous professional development, and fostering a school culture rooted in inquiry, collaboration, inclusion, and ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead academic and curriculum initiatives within the Primary Years Programme.
• Oversee teaching quality and learning engagements to maintain high standards.
• Serve as the IB PYP lead ensuring program adherence and excellence.
• Manage and inspire the Primary academic team through effective leadership.
• Support holistic student development and promote wellbeing.
• Engage parents and community members to foster strong partnerships.
• Coordinate school operations related to the Primary section.
• Utilize data and assessments to guide continuous educational improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• IB PYP certification or training is highly preferred.
• Have at least five years of teaching and academic leadership experience, ideally within IB or international school settings.
• Experience as Head of Primary, PYP Coordinator, or an equivalent leadership role is advantageous.
• Possess solid expertise in inquiry-based and concept-driven education methodologies.
