Job description
Role Overview
A respected private healthcare facility is looking for a Head of Pharmacy to provide both strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for its pharmacy function. This position is responsible for building a safe, efficient, patient-focused, and financially sustainable pharmacy service. The role covers outpatient, inpatient, walk-in, and medication delivery activities, with a strong emphasis on compliance, stock control, medication safety, service quality, team development, and pharmacy expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the pharmacy team to deliver reliable, patient-centered, and commercially viable services across outpatient, inpatient, walk-in, and medicine delivery channels.
- Support better service delivery, stronger revenue performance, tighter cost control, and improved operational efficiency in line with organizational goals.
- Maintain adherence to pharmacy laws, professional practice standards, licensing obligations, and internal quality processes.
- Oversee, mentor, and build the capability of pharmacy and support staff while ensuring proper coverage, accountability, and high service standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed, as well as in good standing, with the Pharmacy Council.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in pharmacy practice.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management position.
- Proven background in leading teams and implementing operational enhancements.
- Experience handling inventory control and supply chain coordination.
