Role Overview

The Operations division at Revolut addresses large-scale problem-solving by creating efficient systems that fuel global expansion. The Head of Operations for Wealth & Trading will oversee daily operational activities, ensuring a smooth, controlled trading environment for millions of users. This role involves designing and enforcing processes and controls to minimize incidents, adhere to regulatory mandates, and protect client funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with global Wealth & Trading operations teams to align strategies and practices.
• Establish and sustain effective first-line controls, such as maker-checker procedures, reconciliations, exception handling, and access management.
• Work closely with Customer Support, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams to facilitate regulatory and transaction reporting as well as client money safeguarding.
• Engage in risk assessments, audits, and regulatory reviews, crafting action plans and corrective measures.
• Lead inquiries into operational incidents, near misses, and customer-impacting problems while implementing root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
• Define, monitor, and report on operational Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
• Support the onboarding and ongoing supervision of vital operational partners, including brokers, custodians, middle-office providers, and data vendors.
• Ensure clear management of contractual responsibilities and operational dependencies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of seven years’ experience in securities operations within fintech or brokerage firms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trading operations and post-trade workflows across various asset classes, particularly equities and ETFs; familiarity with fixed income, derivatives, FX, or funds is advantageous.
• Proven experience in developing, executing, and testing operational control frameworks.
• Awareness of UAE or regional brokerage regulatory requirements, or a strong aptitude to quickly master new regulatory environments.
• Comfort with data analysis and basic software tools such as Excel, BI platforms, and SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities effectively within a fast-paced, evolving, high-growth setting.
