Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and driven Head of Operations for our Solar & Renewables Division to oversee and expand operations nationwide. This pivotal role reports directly to the Directors and offers the chance to drive project delivery, operational excellence, team development, and support strategic expansion within a swiftly growing renewable energy enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of utility-scale solar projects throughout Ireland.
• Create and refine operational procedures, systems, and best practices.
• Coordinate scheduling, workforce management, and resource distribution.
• Recruit, nurture, and direct highly effective teams.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and essential stakeholders.
• Track operational outcomes, maintain quality standards, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Guarantee compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory protocols.
• Drive initiatives for business growth and continual operational improvement.

Candidate Profile

Must have:

• At least 4 years' experience in the Solar Photovoltaic (PV) industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational teams and multiple projects effectively.
• Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, and managing resources.
• Experience overseeing subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational capabilities.
• Possession of a full clean driving licence.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Background in delivering utility-scale solar installations.
• Experience expanding solar installation operations or departments.
• Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS), electric vehicle (EV) charging, or other renewable energy technologies.
• Academic or professional qualifications in Technical, Engineering, Electrical, Construction, or Business disciplines.
