Role Overview
This organization is looking for a senior operations leader to own the company’s operational engine and help steer execution at an executive level. The position calls for a strategic, hands-on professional who can improve business processes, lift efficiency, guide cross-functional teams, and keep operations running at a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and roll out operational plans that support the company’s direction, targets, and growth priorities.
- Direct the daily functioning of the business to maintain productivity, smooth service delivery, and operational discipline.
- Build, refine, and standardize workflows, procedures, and performance benchmarks.
- Track important operational indicators and KPIs, then share actionable observations and recommendations with senior leadership.
- Lead programs focused on operational excellence, process redesign, automation, and cost control.
- Work closely with department heads so operational execution stays aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
- Handle workforce planning, staffing allocation, budgeting, and operational projections.
- Spot risks in operations and introduce controls or mitigation plans to protect business continuity.
- Drive change initiatives, organizational improvement efforts, and broader transformation projects.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory obligations, quality expectations, and operational safeguards.
- Coach and develop managers and operational staff while encouraging accountability and strong performance.
- Contribute to strategy, expansion plans, and evaluation of new business opportunities.
- Prepare executive-level summaries, operational reviews, and business performance updates for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in operations leadership, business management, supply chain, logistics, or a similar senior role.
- Strong grasp of operational strategy, continuous improvement, and performance management across an organization.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and large operational functions.
- Well-developed analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment.
- Excellent skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Hands-on exposure to budgeting, forecasting, resourcing, and performance tracking.
- Comfort working with business systems, ERP tools, analytics platforms, and operational reporting solutions.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-moving, changing, and growth-focused environment.
- Strong commercial mindset and strategic business understanding.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; an MBA or other leadership qualification is a plus.
