Head of Operations (Operations Director)

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Operations to join our executive team at Had Fab Limited, responsible for leading the entire manufacturing and operational activities. Reporting to the COO, this leadership role requires managing production planning, fabrication, manufacturing, quality, yard operations, dispatch, logistics, and materials flow to achieve safe, efficient, and profitable operations at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all facets of manufacturing and operational functions including production, assembly, and logistics to meet business objectives.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards while ensuring optimal quality, delivery, productivity, and financial targets.
• Foster a culture based on accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Formulate and implement operational strategies that accommodate business growth and scalability.
• Conduct capacity planning for workforce, materials, equipment, and facility resources to prepare for evolving demand.
• Diagnose and eliminate bottlenecks or constraints inhibiting manufacturing throughput.
• Support investment decisions involving plants, automation, technology upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Drive performance via detailed planning, scheduling, KPI monitoring, and adherence to On-Time In Full delivery standards.
• Lead continuous operational improvements through data analytics, process standardization, ERP optimization, and digital transformation.
• Develop and mentor management teams, establish succession plans, and oversee talent development strategies.
• Manage operational budgets, strive to improve margins, and assist commercial teams with risk and capability assessments.
• Champion and uphold a safety-first environment aligned with health, safety, environmental and quality regulations.
• Collaborate with HSE and Quality departments to minimize operational risks and prepare for audits.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience as Head of Operations, Operations Director or a similar role within complex manufacturing settings.
• Strong expertise in steel fabrication, engineering, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
• Proven history in operational transformation, growth management, and improving business outcomes.
• Solid knowledge of production planning, capacity and workforce management, and performance delivery.
• Commercially savvy with aptitude for boosting profitability and enhancing productivity.
• Experienced in implementing scalable operational processes, governance, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication capabilities.
• Resilient, pragmatic leader passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
