Job description
Role overview
We are looking for an experienced, operationally strong leader to take over a well-established cultural venue with high visitor traffic as part of a succession plan. The site delivers distinctive exhibition experiences and is considered one of Germany’s most innovative cultural offerings.
You will hold overall responsibility for the site’s operations, team, and financial performance, working closely with the European headquarters.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure an outstanding visitor experience and smooth delivery of shows and events.
- Oversee technical operations, programme coordination, and safety standards.
- Manage budgets and costs, and provide reporting to headquarters.
- Drive revenue growth and further commercial development of the location.
- Lead a team of nearly 30 employees.
- Handle recruitment, employee reviews, and scheduling of shifts and vacation.
- Represent the venue to partners, the press, and local stakeholders.

- Experience in event management and budget responsibility.
- High customer focus and a confident, professional presence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Interest in culture, art, or entertainment is an advantage.
- Fluent German and good English skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
